Note: Technically, any PCMCIA card that has a USB connector or a Firewire connector can be used for doing video capture as long as you have software to do the job. The choice between Firewire or USB is pretty much dictated by the host device that provides the video signal. If you have a camcorder, and it has a Firewire port, then you will need a PCMCIA card with a Firewire connector. If you have a USB connected camera then you will need a PCMCIA card with a USB connector.

Finally you will need the Video Editing software to process the signal coming from the host device to your laptop and either save it to the hard drive or re-direct it to another device like a VCR a video screen.
